The north end of Yountville, the apartment building at 2180 Madison St will finally be getting a complete update. The applicants have brought forward a design that brings the building more into line with design standards for Old Town as well as making the busy corner a more attractive entrance to our Town.
The Applicant, Nancy See, previously lived on Madison St and loves what the area has become, especially the Yountville Park. The ZDRB commissioners all well received the new exterior staircase, four single car garages, larger porch.
It is always refreshing to hear an applicant state that they have considered what the Town wants to see. They were also open to feedback and heard the discussion from the ZDRB commissioners. The members made suggestions for adding French doors on the south side and reconfiguring the dormers to fit the space better. The conditions of approval changes will be allowed to be determined by staff.
