Yountville Town staff held a Zoom candidate orientation for the candidates in this fall’s Mayoral and Town Council Member elections. All the Yountville candidates participated in the orientation. The orientation provided an overview of the Town’s governance structure with a focus on where to find information about the Town using the Town website and providing candidates with hard copies of certain background information and additional information on a Thumb Drive so that the candidates have the basic information about Yountville local government 101.
The presentation was beneficial, and I think it serves as an excellent primer on the workings of our Town government. This is an excellent presentation for those who want to understand the Town government. Better yet, next time you want to write a Letter to the Editor and make Public Comment, this presentation is an excellent place to start to better structure your ideas and feedback.
