More (Bad) Water News…

Town Utility Operations staff has prepared & submitted the new weekly drought report to the State Division of Drinking Water (DDW). This is a new requirement as the State is heading towards declaring a Statewide Drought. This will include measures similar to what the Yountville Town Council adopted on May 4, 2021, to help manage our water conservation efforts and achieve the 400-acre feet allowance from Rector Reservoir, operated by the Veterans Home.

Also, Town Staff reports an increased number of customers that seemed to have high water usage compared to historical billings, and the Town sent those customers notification letters that included information about drought-related water conservation measures. This is another great example of how well the Town is being managed, despite the nature of the news.
