Arts Commission, Zoning Design Review Board (ZDRB) and Napa Valley Transportation Agency are looking for members.
The Arts Commission is seeking three community volunteers to serve on the Yountville Arts Commission. The terms of office will commence July 21, 2021, and will expire on July 20, 2023. The Art Commission provides vision, leadership, inspiration, and support to artists and their art in Yountville. The Arts Commission serves in an advisory capacity to the Town Council and staff in matters about the cultural arts. Meetings are held at the Yountville Community Center on the first Monday monthly at 5:00 p.m. Current meetings are virtual.
The ZDRB is seeking two community volunteers to serve the terms of office will commence July 20, 2021, and will expire July 19, 2024. The purpose of the ZDRB is to review matters related to planning and development and make recommendations to the Town Council consistent with Yountville’s Zoning and Design Ordinances, General Plan, and administrative policies. Other items for consideration include, but are not limited to, residential design, variances, commercial design, master development plans, use permits, sign permits, rezones, land use, and design policies. Meetings are held at Town Hall on the second Tuesday monthly at 6:00 p.m.
The Yountville Town Council seeks one Yountville Representative to serve on the Active Transportation Advisory Committee (ATAC) (Formerly the Bicycle Advisory Committee). Final appointment to be confirmed by the NVTA. The ATAC advises the NVTA Board of Director’s and its purpose is to promote and encourage safe bicycling and walking. The committee works to further the Napa Valley goal of becoming more bicycle and pedestrian-friendly and promoting sustainable transportation alternatives. The ATAC focuses on countywide interests to reduce congestion and improve air quality by promoting non-motorized (biking and walking) transportation modes as a significant, safe, and beneficial transportation option. Meetings are held on the fourth Monday every other month at 5:30 p.m. in Napa.
The Yountville Town Council is seeking one individual to serve as the Yountville Representative on the NVTA Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) to focus on issues related to all modes of transportation — automobile, transit, biking, walking — to update our transportation infrastructure and improve the health and wellbeing of our community in Napa Valley. CAC members will assist NVTA staff with the planning of important countywide plans and projects. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of the month at 5:00 p.m. in Napa.
