Yountville Could Receive Emergency Government Funding

This is big news! On February 9 the U.S. House Oversight and Reform Committee released draft legislation that includes $350 billion in emergency relief for state and local governments. The draft is different from past drafts in two important ways:

  1. There is no minimum population requirement
  2. The funding can be used to replace lost revenue.

That means replacement of TOT FUNDS. This could also possibly mean $500,000 or more to the Town of Yountville. The Town has reserves and this would be a boost to not have to tap those reserves. This ties into the Zoom call Rep Mike Thompson will be having on Tuesday the 16th to discuss the details.
