Yes, Water Conservation Measures Are Still In Effect

Even after all the rain this past week, Town of Yountville water restrictions are still in effect. Town Manager Steve Rogers shares, “Even with that storm event, the US Drought Monitor downgraded Napa County from an Exceptional Drought to an Extreme Drought. Locally Rector Reservoir has a considerable way to go yet before it is full. Please remember that Yountville averages just under 32 inches of rain in a normal year. Before the rain, Rector was at 342.8 feet and increased by a substantial 11.3 feet from the storm to increase to 354.1 feet, but full is 372.5 feet. So we are still some 18.4 feet below the rim of Rector.”

That being said, 15 notice letters went to residents and businesses regarding the prohibition for the use of overhead sprinklers for landscape medians.
