This week we celebrated Memorial Day on Monday, May 31st, and with that, we honor the military lives that were lost in service defending our country.
As we slowly return to gatherings, I want to share a remembrance of a yearly gathering held at our local cemetery, which offers so much history of and for our community. In the spirit of remembrance, we are also taking a moment to honor the lives of those whose acts contributed to the Town of Yountville. Community member and current Councilmember Margie Mohler wrote and delivered this speech in 2015, sharing the stories of those who rest at Yountville’s Pioneer Cemetary and some of the Town’s history.
