Shoutout to the Yountville Chamber

Education is a never-ending process. This year, three individuals from the Chamber of Commerce were recently honored by their peers in the chamber sector at the Western Association of Chamber Executives’ annual conference.

Jessica Penman, Director of Community Relations, has been selected for a two-year term on the W.A.C.E. Emerging Leaders Council. The Council was founded to discover and honor future leaders in W.A.C.E. and the chamber of commerce (all under the age of 40).

Elizabeth Hecock, a former Director of Membership and Sales, is a W.A.C.E. Academy graduate. The Academy is a three-year program designed to provide vital training to chamber professionals.

Finally, but certainly not least, Whitney Diver McEvoy was selected to the W.A.C.E. Board of Directors as an officer and as the 2023 conference chair.

The Western Association of Chamber Executives has its annual meeting in February. With over 300 employees from 18 different states and one Canadian province, this conference seeks to provide an opportunity to learn about current developments in the chamber sector, network with other chamber professionals, listen to inspirational speakers, and discuss the future of the industry.

Let’s give them a round of applause for continuing to improve the work and services of our local Chamber of Commerce! View the full recap here.
