Lots of concern in Yountville today. When the words “mobile home park” come up on the Council agenda, many of our locals start paying attention. Rightfully so and with this agenda item, the Council is painting the integrity and ensuring the future of our mobile home parks. In 2010, with Ordinance 383-10, “Coterminous with the existing zoning for Mobile Home Park Residential is the Senior Mobile Home Park Overlay Zone ( MHP- S). Mobile home parks within the MHP shall be Senior Mobile Home Parks.” For three pages of Recitals and Findings, the Town ensured the future of our mobile home parks. This current ordinance on today’s agenda is a map amendment that brings the Yountville Zoning map to be consistent. As Ordinance 21-502 (which is being voted on today) states in the Recitals, “The Town Council determines that the Zoning Map amendment is necessary to update and reflect the classification of existing senior mobile home park properties located at 6468 Washington Street (APN 910-011-507) and 6424 Washington Street (APN 910-011-474) with the Senior Mobile Home Park Overlay (-S).”
