League of California Cities Launches Advancing Equity Advisory Committee to support cities in efforts to root out systemic racism.
While no longer president of the California League of Cities, our Mayor John Dunbar remains very active with the League. Along with our Town Manager, Steve Rogers, they will be on the Cal Cities Advancing Equity Advisory Committee. Along with other Council members and staff throughout our state, they will be working to create recommendations for California cities to have a reliable pathway to build more equitable and just institutions. As our Mayor stated, “A big part of the committee’s work will be ensuring that tools are available for all city leaders to reevaluate, reimagine, and reform their institutions to ensure their systems are equitable and just.”
