Napa County Sheriff’s Office offers Citizen’s Academy

Get to know the behind-the-scenes look of the department as the Napa Sheriff’s Office is offering a Citizen’s Academy this May.

It will run on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm for 3 hours, starting on the first Wednesday of May. The academy will take place at the Napa County Sheriff’s Department, located at 1535 Airport Blvd. in Napa.

The purpose of the academy is to allow interested citizens to learn about the functions of the agency as well as encourage better communication between law enforcement and citizens. Some of the topics covered will include patrol operations, investigations, traffic enforcement, SWAT operations, and many others!

The Citizen’s Academy is open to anyone living or working in Napa County, 18 years of age or older. For obvious reasons, anyone with a prior felony conviction or a misdemeanor involving an act of dishonesty or moral turpitude may not participate.

The deadline for applications is April 11th. Check out this site for more details.
