A new sports photography exhibit entitled “KINETIC” will debut on Thursday, September 16, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at the Gallery at the Yountville Community Center.
A convergence of sports in motion and still photographs will be showcased at the gallery monitors, allowing visitors to properly admire the beauty of athletic challenge while watching through panoramic stills taken by professional photographer Brad Holmes.
Holmes’s cinematic career began when he became interested in filming ski videos and branded content while he was also pursuing his skiing career in 2001. For him, 2010 was the year to dedicate himself to filmmaking. By 2012, he won the X Dance film festival’s Best Documentary award for “The Miserable Champion” and was becoming known for his innovative and daring style.
The exhibit “KINETIC” is presented by Yountville Arts and runs through Friday, November 26. Gallery hours are 9 AM-5 PM Monday through Friday and weekends and evenings by appointment. Please call (707) 948-2627 to schedule.
