I’ve been known to read Dr. Seuss at Yountville Out Loud!
Yountville Arts presents the next Yountville Out Loud event as a live in-person gathering at the Yountville Community Center Plaza on Thursday, September 9 at 5:30 PM. This open mic is the opportunity for community members to step up to the podium and read something or listen to what others have to say.
Participants can read, act, sing, or share a passage from a poem or novel. It can even be an original piece of writing! Light bites and beverages will be provided.
The last Out Loud was held on September 17 last year with a diverse group of readers and was held virtually on Zoom. Those who read included current Napa County Poet Laureate Marianne Lyon, Donna Crane, Karla Yates-Reyff, Cathy Carsell, Debbie Darrin, Jennifer Carvalho, and Jim Mc Donald.
This is a great event to practice your public speaking while listening to the expression and creativity of other community members.
