A virtual Sanitary Survey of the Town’s water distribution system was conducted by the State Water Resources Control Board, Division of Drinking Water (Water Board, DDW) this past week. This virtual inspection was scheduled over a two-day period and thanks to pre-planning by Utility Operations Staff the inspection was completed in one day. Thank you, Nick, and Jeff, for remote connections for visual confirmation and virtual site tours. The Water Board was very pleased with their findings and described the operations as “highly functional” and recommended that the Town seek membership in the American Water Works Association (AWWA) group that consistently performs beyond the regulatory requirements.
