Town of Yountville Staff Receives Partner of the Year Award

On Wednesday, May 5, 2021, the Yountville Chamber of Commerce virtually hosted the 4th Annual Membership Jubilee ceremony, where the Town of Yountville employees received the Partner of the Year Community Award. The Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors recognized their outstanding success and resilience through the 2020 wildfires and the pandemic.

Mayor John Dunbar acknowledged the Town’s small staff of 31 employees’ skill and creativity, which helped limit major cutbacks to services, recreational programs, and support to the business community while Town employees were experiencing work environment changes and health concerns homeschooling, and other family obligations. Mayor Dunbar also recognized staff for their quick transition to a remote and online support environment, providing timely and accurate information about the changing restrictions and requirements for the residents and businesses to operate under the state and county public health orders.

Town Manager Steve Rogers received the award on behalf of the Town and stated that “It is an honor to receive this Partner of the Year Award on behalf of the employees of the Town of Yountville organization, and we couldn’t be prouder of how they have pivoted and provided a number of services during this challenging year. It’s indeed an honor to receive and acknowledge the incredible appreciation from the business community.”
