Silverado Trail Has Reopened

After closing due to storm damages on October 25th, Silverado Trail from Madrone Knoll Way to Meadowood Lane has now reopened ahead of schedule. Repairs were completed ahead of schedule by the County’s contractor, OC Jones, at a cost now estimated at $400,000.

“We know how critical the Silverado Trail is for commuters across the Napa Valley,” said Steve Lederer, Director of Napa County Public Works. “I think we are all glad to see this project complete ahead of schedule.”

Aside from road repairs, road reinforcements and drainage improvements were also done to allow groundwater to flow under the road and prevent future storms to cause damage. In light of these recent changes, drivers are urged to proceed with care as some concrete barriers will still be in place while permanent guardrails are to be installed.
