Reimagining Napa Valley Auction

Hosted by the Napa Valley Vintners (NVV), Napa Valley Auction is a renowned annual fundraising event that has taken place in Napa for over 40 years, in which over $200 million has been given to support the Napa Valley community. They have recently announced a new chapter for this event that aims to be more inclusive and flexible.

As is true for most (if not all) businesses, NVV faced an unforeseen set of obstacles last year during the pandemic and California wildfires. NVV announced it would wrap up Auction Napa Valley in its current format and redefine how a world-class wine region fundraises for the good of its community in a way that is more flexible and inclusive.

Called Collective Napa Valley, this new endeavor has expanded the philanthropy program to be year-round and brings people together with a common purpose. NVV’s goals are to use this multi-faceted platform to establish a revolutionary way to lead the Napa Valley wine region, provide an opportunity for the wine community to connect with a broader and more diverse consumer audience, and leverage the region’s assets for the good of its community.

Seasonal campaigns will include in-person fundraising endeavors, virtual opportunities with special offerings, and on-the-road events to take Napa Valley to domestic and international markets. They seek to take what was once an “elitist” event over a single weekend and transform it into something more inclusive and fluid.
