Hopper Creek Pedestrian Bridge Project

The Town’s contractor began constructing Hopper Creek Pedestrian Bridge at Oak Circle Park on Oak Circle Thursday, February 4, 2021, circa 10:00 am. The bridge was delivered this week, off-loaded, and assembled.

The two sections of the bridge will be staged within Oak Circle Park where they will be assembled into one section. The one section will then be placed over Hopper Creek at a time to be scheduled in the coming weeks. During this time Oak Circle Park will remain closed to the public. Contractor is completing the foundations and scheduling the crane to pick and set the bridge into place. In the meantime, the bridge is available for viewing in the parking area at Oak Circle Park.

Your Public Works Department and the contractor, Schaefer Engineering appreciate the public’s patience during the temporary detour and park closure.

Questions may be directed to the Town’s Public Works Department at 707-944-8851.

My family has been watching the progress of the additional creek path and bridge with much enthusiasm. We were very happy to see the old street signs installed on the path and look forward to the “big reveal” once the bridge is in place. It’s looking great!
*Is there any information you could share regarding path and creek bed maintenance: is the entirety of the pathway the responsibility of town maintenance?
Many thanks! ~Carole~
