Yountville, Community and a Church

The cyclone fence came down at the Yountville Community Church this morning (of course, it started at 7:30 am and none of the neighbors were going to complain about the early start time). After three-plus years of construction, many cigarettes butts scattered about, many early start times, several general contractor changes, and one press release later, the church is ready for its newest iteration. I spoke to Pastor Dan, and he shared that the first service will be on August 22. As we are all aware of by now, the first EVENT will be on August 19 (read the press release here). So what does this all mean for the community? Still not sure. Maybe the biggest question is about Lux Forum headed by Robert and Celeste White. They are the ones promoting the August 19 event. According to the press release, The Whites and team have restored both buildings, with the Theatre serving as a place to fulfill the mission of Lux Forum, which is to connect intellectually curious people with spiritual ideas.

Be sure to read this article about the happenings with the White family in 2019. The Whites are also the proprietors of Ghost Horse Winery, which interestingly enough just showed up on Wine Searcher as one of the most expensive wines in Napa Valley, at over $4,200 a bottle.

As we all learn about each other, I hope to see more community in the Yountville Community Church.
