Napa poet laureate Marianne and James Lyon will be hosting chapbook workshops on April 9th and May 14th.
What’s a chapbook? According to Wikipedia, it’s, “a small publication of up to about 40 pages, sometimes bound with a saddle stitch.”
The workshops are open to all poetry lovers, whether you’re just a beginning or an experienced writer. Lyon’s philosophy is that writing is for everyone, and these workshops will provide a space for attendees to cultivate their writing skills in a safe and encouraging environment. Attendees will learn about different techniques for writing short collections of poems and get feedback from fellow workshop-goers.
