Yountville has a new Deputy in town! Say hello to Deputy Reed Oster, the newest addition to the team of four designated deputies from the Napa County Sheriff’s Office. He’ll be working the graveyard shift starting in March.
Below is an official press release from the Town introducing Deputy Oster.
Born and raised in Napa, Deputy Oster is 26 years old and a graduate of Napa High School. After graduation, he completed college at Cal State Monterey Bay where he earned a degree in Business Administration in 2019. During his time there, Deputy Oster was a third baseman on the baseball team.
His law enforcement career began shortly after he attended the Napa Police Academy. In 2020, Deputy Oster was hired by the Napa Sheriff’s Office. During his tenure with the Sheriff’s Office, he has been assigned to Lake Berryessa and Valley Patrol.
Prior to his law enforcement career, Deputy Oster worked as Pro Shop Assistant at Eagle Vines Golf Club in American Canyon. When he is not on duty, you can find him hunting, golfing, and coaching baseball. On his off days, he coaches JV high school baseball for Vintage High School in Napa. Deputy Oster is excited about this new chapter and looks forward to working in the Town of Yountville and meeting the wonderful residents.
