Very First Letter to the Editor

At a recent Yountville Town Council meeting, a Public Comment was presented at the meeting, stating a neighbor’s concern about having Garcia’s Taco Truck at the Yountville Community Park, citing noise and traffic. The truck has been in the parking lots of Panchas for many years and had to make the temporary move to access bathroom facilities as Panchas closed during COVID lockdown. The Town provided a location for the truck which helped keep them in business during COVID, as well as continuing to offer a lower price point for eating in this Town. At the meeting, Councilmember Knight commented that the Town should assist the neighbors with their issues. Below is a response from the owner of Panchas, Rose.

Taco Truck

I was really irritated when I saw that Eric Knight at a Council meeting wanted to remove the Taco Truck and get the Town Council to agree because someone thought generator on the Taco truck was too loud. The Taco Truck is the only place in Yountville where you can get a cheap meal. Many employees who work in Town, the Fire and Sheriff employees, other locals, and many of our Veterans, like to go and get a meal there. Our Veterans deserve a place to come to and enjoy a nice park with kids and picnic tables and to meet people.

Leave this business alone. The Taco truck had to move from our parking lot because of Covid rules and the bar had to close. We are all victims in this pandemic. After Pancha’s opens again the Taco Truck will be back in our parking lot and it will not be a problem for Eric Knight and the complaining neighbor. Eric should be ashamed for picking on them when they have done nothing wrong but served Yountville during the pandemic. What business will be next for Eric Knight to complain about?

When the truck goes back to panchas rose can continue to harass and berate people in the community. For the real story on this go look on Yelp.
