In addition to local Phase 2 Water Shortage Emergency Regulations, the Town of Yountville will also be applying the State Water Resources Control Board regulations adopted via Resolution 2022-0002 on January 4, 2022.
These restrictions will include:
- No watering lawns for two days after rain.
- No using drinking water to clean sidewalks and driveways.
- No excess water from sprinklers running onto sidewalks.
- No washing cars without having a nozzle to stop water when not in use.
- No outdoor watering that causes runoff into the street.
- No watering median turf.
These are simple ways to keep reducing water usage. Fines for not complying may run up to around $500 per day with the Board leaving enforcement to local water districts.
