No 4th of July Fireworks Display in Yountville

This comes as no surprise considering the recent temperatures and drought conditions — the Town has canceled the 4th of July Fireworks display this year due to concerns of fire danger and uncertainty of COVID restrictions. This Yountville tradition has been historically run by the Town in partnership with the Veterans Home, and this makes the second year that public safety concerns have caused it to be postponed. Last year, the fireworks were canceled due to COVID.

So if you’re wanting to be dazzled by fireworks this 4th of July, you’ll have to visit another town or have access to a high-definition T.V. The closest firework show will be in American Canyon. You can also travel to San Francisco to see their annual display!

Please remember that fireworks are illegal in the Town of Yountville and in Napa County. The Town states that “under no circumstances are residents, visitors or businesses permitted to use them for any reason. This includes firecrackers, bottle rockets, roman candles and other devices that explode, move along the ground or travel through the air. We have all experienced the effects of wildfire in our valley and a few minutes of fun could easily cause a deadly wildfire. Please report the illegal use of fireworks to the Napa County Sheriffs Department by calling 707.253.4451 or 911 if you see smoke or fire.”
