Family visits to Yountville Veterans Home residents to resume soon

State Department of Veterans Affairs recently announced that, as soon as next week. CalVet clinical care director and the local county public health department are to approve The Yountville Veterans Home’s visitation plan.

CalVet will provide updates to Veterans Home residents and their families over the next several days, including contact information to schedule visits and any requirements for visiting the grounds, spokesperson Lindsey Sin said in an email. The Veterans Home population was one of Napa County’s first communities to receive supplies of COVID-19 vaccine. Testing is still be done on a widespread basis at the Home with both staff and residents. Small groups form within the complex are allowed with all safety measures still in place. Expect some even better news next week as families are permitted to visit on-site at the Home.
