Joe T., Public Works Director, is Retiring

Town of Yountville Public Works Director Joe Tagliaboschi has announced his retirement effective as of July 30, 2021.

As a former Town Council member, I can say that Joe was an integral part of my experience and learning here in Yountville. His expertise, patience, and low-key manner were always a welcome presence at meetings, as well as helping me to learn Public Works. I understand parking and utility easements so much better. His slide presentations are legendary!

Joe has been the Public Works Director with the Town of Yountville since October 29, 2014. He has extensive experience in both public and private civil work. He previously worked for the City of Concord, where he was the Infrastructure Maintenance Manager. Before his position with the City of Concord, Joe served in the Public Works Departments at Yolo County (2007-2012) as the Superintendent of Public Works and the City of Napa (2003-2007) as a Streets Field Supervisor. Before working in the public sector, Joe was employed by Underground Construction Company, Inc., a heavy engineering company. There he was Superintendent, managing both public and private heavy civil engineering projects. Joe holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix. He also holds an M.B.A. degree from Sacramento State University. Joe has lived in Yountville with his wife Kathy since 1991. He enjoys running and riding bikes in and around Napa Valley, triathlons, and other endurance events in his spare time. He completed an Ironman distance event in 2009.
